AskDonya (mind freedom & Mood re-centering)

Hey Luvz let’s chat again…

So lately I’ve been in a shifty mood and I can’t quite pin point why. It may be the weather, my virgo moon is far, or that I need to recharge my chakra and revamp my crystal collection. I’ve been picking up on all the other moods around me too, so I’m here to help you through the steps of re-centering your mood. Like everything else you first focus on clearing your head and then we can start on the other work. As you know the most effective way to shift these effects into gear is to empty your mind regularly. Stress and disquietude are part of the human condition that we so rarely pay attention to.

Try to meditate! When you free the mind, you are overcoming distractions that get in the way of what matters most to you personally and professionally. Creating open space in your mind will increase your focus and confidence and enhance the quality of your life. This will start to impact your moods in a positive light and help stabilize you. Next we focus on meditation which helps us control our thought and the practice of mental freedom will come easy to you.

Become aware of the thoughts you had and try to condition yourself to use the negative ones the right way. Whenever a negative impulse, thought or emotion arises, try to disidentify from it through observation and do what you know is right through an act of conscious decision. Your negative thoughts aren’t meant to destroy you. They’re meant to be used against the negatives that arise in your life by being turnt into a positive growth. A growth that strengthens the minds third eye and helps refocus your mood.

To remove negative thoughts from your mind start by Sitting comfortably. Take a few deep breaths, and calm yourself down. Start to become aware of your mind producing thoughts without engaging with them. If you find yourself getting engaged with the thought, take a moment to acknowledge that and return back to watching. You’re watching the negative thoughts come while you also over power them by acknowledgement and non engagement. Thoughts are like trains that come and go through a busy station; you can simply stand on platform and watch the trains go by. The train (thought) arrives, sometimes it just passes by and sometimes it stops for a while.

Start to get your Chaka right after you’ve started the process of removing negative thoughts, it’ll come easier this way. Then you get out and get some sun because that serotonin you soak up from the sun’s rays does more than boost your mood. It can act as a melatonin to help you get a good night’s sleep, it can also help with the lowering of stress levels. The weather affects the mood more than you may realize because our existences affects it. We are nature so we have to use the elements of thus nature to strive. Remember the sun and moon can both be used in different manors to help in mood re-centering.

All of these things can be used to awaken the happier feelings in your body again. I’m practicing the art of finding my center in the moon lately, which means I have to let the night come into me while bathing in the moonlight. Once the sun starts to burn I will refocus on serotonin and sun bathing then infuse this into my meditation rituals. Last but not least, Engage breathing. Breathing can help you achieve a physiological condition called coherence, which leads to improved mental clarity, focus, emotional stability, and decision making. Physical touch. Kisses and cuddles release oxytocin, the feel-good hormone. …

Have a chat. Call up someone who you know will listen without judgement. Remind yourself that you’re lucky because Gratitude is a wonderful tool. Get Outside and Get moving. Once you’ve done all these things luvz, your sure to be re-centered or well on your way to it. This will help you feel more healthy and your mood will start to lighten up which will reflect greatly on everything else you have going on. (To feel the light is to be the light) -Donnie Sharrell
